Musika

The fact that today is a sunny day, which is rare in England, is a good reason to post some music on my blog. I have tried to diversify the list to accommodate a wide variety of different genres and thus tastes.

Lets start with some Argentinian indie music. The Babasonicos!

The full album, Mucho, is to be found here, here or can be bought here.

Everybody knows the Asian Dub Foundation. Their distinctive sound is a combination of hard ragga-jungle rhythms, indo-dub basslines, searing sitar- inspired guitars and 'traditional' sounds gleaned from their parents' record collections, shot through with fast-chat conscious lyrics.

Their acclaimed album, Rafi's revenge, can be found here or can be bought here.

If you think the Beatles are out of date, think again. The German punk formation The Punkles bring the Beatles back to the center stage.

You can find their album here or you can buy it here.

Finally there is The Clash, who everybody knows and thus is in no need of further introduction.

Their live concert in The Netherlands can be found here or you could buy their albums here.

Ok, ok. One last one. Manu Chao began his musical career with Hot Pants, a French band that combined several musical styles and languages. The musician then founded the interracial band Mano Negra with several friends in 1987, becoming a solo artist after it disbanded.

You can find a recent recording of one of his live performance here or you can buy his albums here.
