Better than the Beatles

Not only movies can be cult. Music can contain similar B-status like elements.

Take 1960s rock band The Shaggs for example. Frank Zappa famously stated that the band's first album "The Philosophy of the World" (1969) was one of his favorite records. Others claimed however that the Shaggs are to be believed "the worst rock band ever" (wiki) or the "best worst" (New York Times). Despite such compliments, the band has since the 1970s (un)fortunately received little interest from mainstream music media. Their recently, "widely acclaimed" tribute album "Better Than the Beatles" is therefore a welcome surprise.

However, who wants the tribute if you can have the real stuff, right? About their first album "Philosophy Of The World" (cheesy name) then. Well, you either love it (or you pretend you do) or you hate it (and you hate it very much).

Think you can handle The Shaggs? Check the Youtube video clip before downloading Philosophy Of The World below.
