Aphex Twin

Words can't really be put down on paper to describe the chaos that occurs in Richard D. James' music. One minute the listener would be bombarded by the most fiercest drum 'n bass beats this one man act called "Aphex Twin" can conjure up in the studio. The next minute, the listener would be flooded with some of the most beautiful classical melodies in modern music.

His album "Drukqs" (2001) comprises 30 tracks, divided into two discs on the CD release (15 songs on each disc) and on eight sides on the quadruple-vinyl release. In-between the chaos and peace, 'Drukqs' induces a whole host of emotions using acid squiggles, plucked piano strings and 80s electro-breaks. The perfect soundtrack to an impending apocalypse
